Tete de Femme

I've been working on my technique
for drawing portaits. Sometimes I'll
randomly browse through a book or
magazine and start to sketch a picture
that catches my eye, just doodling with the
sketch book on my lap. The process makes
me focus on proportions and relationships
of the elements of the subject. I couldn't say
where this one came from but I'm happy
with the way it turned out.

i have just viewed your work, bio, photograph of yourself, references to picasso, camus and the fact that zen flesh zen bones is one of your favorite books as well as the fact that you are an investment banker. my first reaction is that this doesn't add up.are you being entirely honest with your would be audience? i'm a serious individual looking into and trying to understand the nature and relevance of art and those who make it.your blog is somewhat confusing to me and does not enable easy access into your creative process. please help me out here mr. davis.

Great blog. But I think in your profile you forgot to mention that you like music by Elvis and also have an interest in playing the harmonica!!! Guess you don't want to come off as having too many talents.

Anonymous # 1,I think the problem is you're," a serious individual."

Anonymous # 2, I think I mentioned "The King."

Hey Mike,
I think the Del Mar Fair might have some interesting subjects. Perhaps a lint collection would get the creative juices flowing.

Enjoyed the drawings.
